On friday literature period ,
Mr Chua came and taught us the play "Merchant Of Venice" which is also created by William Shakespeare :D
Its about how Bassanio wanted to woo Portia's love but he was poor .
So he went to look for his best friend which is Antonio to lend him some money .
Antonio is a merchant but all his money was used for investment of goods to sell off to another country .
So Antonio went to find Shylock the moneylender .
Shylock agreed but on one condition , if Antonio is unable to pay him back the money ,
Shylock will have the rights to take one pound of flesh from Antonio .
With the money , Bassanio is able to woo Portia but news arrived that Antonio's ship had sank to the bottom of the sea . Therefore , Shylock and Antonio went to court to get Antonio's flesh .
After telling the this story , we went outside the class to act out the scene in court .
I was chosen as the Duke of Venice .
Before the scene was finish , the bell rang .
This lesson is much more interesting than Macbeth as the story is longer and more exciting .
